Governance vote on Ether.fi (ETHFI) $50 million buyback ends today
Ether.fi (ETHFI) achieved an important governance milestone today, November 3, with the conclusion of community voting on a proposal to approve up to $50 million in ETHFI token buybacks.
Under this proposal, the EtherFi Foundation would purchase ETHFI tokens from the open market whenever the price drops below $3. This initiative aims to strengthen liquidity, stabilize the value of the token, and strengthen the confidence of long-term holders.
“The Foundation intends to progressively expand repurchase capacity in proportion to protocol revenues, especially while ETHFI remains below USD 3, ensuring efficient use of surplus revenues to strengthen market confidence and reduce circulating supply,” the proposal reads.
All repurchase transactions are publicly reported. Once approved, this initiative will take effect immediately. This vote comes at a critical time for ETHFI.
The altcoin has fallen over 46% in the past month, according to data from BeInCrypto Markets. At the time of writing, ETHFI is trading at $0.93, representing a decline of 7.29% in the past 24 hours.
A successful buyback could help stabilize the token price and restore investor confidence amid continued market volatility. Without approval, ETHFI could remain vulnerable to further downward pressure.

Folks Finance schedules FOLKS token launch
Folks Finance, a cross-chain decentralized finance protocol, will debut its native FOLKS token on November 6th. At the Token Generation Event (TGE), FOLKS is launched using the wormhole NTT cross-chain standard.
This token serves as a central element of protocol governance, enabling community participation in important decisions and supporting long-term incentive structures. The total supply of FOLKS is limited to 50 million tokens.
At launch, 12.7 million people will be in circulation, representing 25.4% of the total supply. The initial allocation will be used for ecosystem growth and community airdrops.
“The total allocated to airdrops during TGE is 3.29%, of which approximately 0.67% (unlocked community airdrops) represents an estimate based on a projected ratio of 25% for users choosing instant claims versus 75% for users choosing linear unlock option,” the team said.

Airfield scheduled for major renovation in November
Base’s leading decentralized exchange, Aerodrome, is preparing to exit its MetaDEX02 phase next week. Network releases two major upgrades.
Alexander, a core Aerodrome contributor, posted, “Next week we’ll be closing out the books for MetaDEX02 with the full release of Slipstream V2, Autopilot (an upgraded free ALM), and several impactful UI/UX upgrades.”
After this, the team will shift all their attention to MetaDEX03. According to Alexander, this is the company’s “most advanced” decentralized exchange operating system (DEXOS).
Contributors described this as a “massive upgrade.” This means it brings significant improvements and new features compared to previous versions.
These represent a significant evolution for the protocol, which is the top revenue-generating DEX in DeFi, surpassing Ethereum and Solana, and is the fourth-highest revenue-generating protocol.

Light plan spot trading begins
“Lighter” concludes the quartet. The Ethereum Layer 2 perpetual exchange known for its zero-fee model is accelerating its product roadmap.
In a recent interview, CEO Vladimir Novakovsky shared the company’s future roadmap and said spot trading could begin in early November. Writers will initially list major assets such as Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH), with additional meme coins expected to be listed shortly thereafter. Despite this, the team has not yet announced the exact release date.
On October 31st, the platform launched foreign exchange (FX) perpetual trading, expanding its appeal beyond crypto natives and targeting traditional financial traders seeking on-chain efficiency.
With EtherFi’s governance vote, Lighter’s spot trading launch, Aerodrome’s technology upgrade, and Folks Finance’s token debut, November is shaping up to be an eventful month for the crypto market, with the potential to reignite market momentum across multiple ecosystems.
