Bitget, the world’s largest Universal Exchange (UEX), is pleased to announce its continued collaboration with the Google Developer Group (GDG). They will be hosting the second hackathon “AI Accelerate Hack” as part of Bitget’s Blockchain4Youth CSR initiative. This event will be held on Wednesday, October 29, 2025 at the University of Leuven, Belgium.
The 10-hour hackathon focuses on the grand theme of ‘Fostering fast-paced innovation through the synergy of technology, business and creativity’ and aims to support and encourage young talent to leverage innovative tools to build the future of the technology sector.
AI Accelerate Hack is an intense, collaborative competition where developers and designers work together to build innovative, technology-driven solutions to real-world business challenges. The event is expected to attract 200 participants from a variety of backgrounds.
“As our Blockchain4Youth program continues to grow and expand around the world, hackathons like this are a great opportunity to connect with promising students, share your expertise as mentors, and continually build a community through shared knowledge,” said Vugar Usi Zade, COO of Bitget.
“Partnering with Bitget on the ‘AI Accelerate Hack’ aligns perfectly with our mission to empower the next generation of developers,” said Daniel Spalenbreck, President and Founder of Google Developer Group (GDG) KU Leuven. “This event is a unique platform where academic theory meets real-world business challenges and inspires students to innovate at the intersection of AI, blockchain, and creativity.”
The hackathon is primarily designed for master’s students in computer engineering and related fields with an emphasis on artificial intelligence, but students from other academic backgrounds, recent graduates with less than two years of professional experience, and aspiring technical professionals are also welcome to participate.
The event schedule includes a short opening ceremony where Bitget will introduce its Blockchain4Youth initiative and recently introduced graduate program. This program is designed to recruit top university talent and place them directly into real-world Web3 workstreams. Through this program, graduates will join one of the world’s fastest growing exchanges, work with colleagues from more than 50 countries, and progress on a clear growth path that combines rotations, mentorship, competitive compensation, and the chance to ship at the frontier. This is followed by a 10-hour core hacking period. In the evening, each group will present their final project and prizes will be awarded to the winning team.
This event is the second collaboration between Bitget and GDG, following the highly successful hackathon held at Constructor University in May. This is an important part of Bitget’s broader Blockchain4Youth initiative, which includes several initiatives underway around the world to spread education and knowledge about the field. Recently, Bitget held a Web3 Diversity Career Session with the 0xU student community on September 20th at Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST). Additionally, in August, Bitget held its third Crypto Experience Month, hosting educational activities in 12 countries and attracting over 15,000 participants. Looking ahead, the initiative also includes a three-day event, the WAIB Summit AI x Web3 Hackathon, to be held at the University of Leuven from November 14th to 16th. This event brings together students, developers, entrepreneurs, and researchers to build breakthrough solutions at the forefront of artificial intelligence and Web3.
