It’s no secret that large-scale language models (LLMs) have crossed the threshold of functionality by collecting vast amounts of public and private data. Coupled with breakthrough advances in transformer architecture and computing power, this data scraping has raised intellectual property (IP) concerns.
Intellectual property frameworks exist to encourage innovation and creative inspiration and protect creators and businesses. As a result, society as a whole benefits from that incentive structure. Typically, IP protection eventually expires, at which point the IP is integrated into the public domain.
A globally harmonized intellectual property framework is the Agreement on Trade-Related Aspects of Intellectual Property Rights (TRIPS Agreement), jointly with the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and under the umbrella of the World Trade Organization (WTO).
But AI is rapidly blurring the lines between human and machine creativity, putting pressure on the fundamental assumptions of IP systems. Without explicit consent and compensation, LLMs are routinely trained on copyrighted works, undermining important incentive structures.

Over time, digital oligopolies consolidate their power with the greatest computing power and data access, and it is not difficult for smaller players to impede large-scale data scraping.
But when it comes to data flows, a potential solution could emerge from the blockchain ecosystem. Specifically, we use the Layer 1 Camp Network (CAMP) blockchain.
How does Camp Network address declining IP incentives?
Just as Bitcoin’s mainnet immutably registers the transfer of value, the Camp Network aims to immutably register the transfer and attribution of people’s work. With a persistent and verifiable record of ownership, creators can automatically apply license terms through smart contracts whenever an AI model uses this registered content.
To accomplish this, Camp Network uses the Provenance (PoP) protocol, which handles IP origins and licensing terms. In addition to this core protocol, Camp Network uses BaseCAMP as its global IP registry and SideCAMP, which is tailored for dApps related to IP enforcement in various fields such as music, books, and games.
Specifically, creators and organizations can register their IP as non-fungible tokens (NFTs), and despite the market downturn since late 2021, it has already pioneered a form of on-chain loyalty system. Although this was an important proof of concept, royalty enforcement relies on market cooperation rather than the blockchain itself.
A case in point is the period when there was a “loyalty war” between OpenSea and other marketplaces like Blur, where the marketplace introduced a model of loyalty options that opted for token incentives instead. Ultimately, this created a fragmented and autonomous NFT loyalty ecosystem. Worsened by incomplete metadata.
Based on these lessons, Camp Network is embedding loyalty logic at the protocol layer rather than relying on marketplaces. This means that royalties apply to data usage as well as content, making it ideal for scenarios where LLM trains on registered datasets.
Camp Network registration and monetization process
Powered by a purpose-built Layer 1 blockchain, Camp Network targets individual creators first and foremost across all digital content categories. Whether it’s a music track or a digital image, here’s the process:
Using the Origin Framework, creators register their works on-chain while embedding the license terms and royalty coverage associated with the asset’s smart contract. On the other hand, when AI developers use mAltrix Framework to train AI agents, they leverage the contents of Camp’s registry. When AI uses registered assets to generate new content or use them for training, Camp Network’s proof of provenance tracks its usage. Therefore, the smart contract automatically executes the conditions predefined by the creator and distributes CAMP payments to the wallet.


In other words, Camp Network is better understood as an add-on infrastructure rather than a separate protocol. on top of that portalusers can also transfer native ETH from Ethereum, which has the largest number of dApps and developers.
Currently, the camp network is ecosystem Across 141 dApps. This is not surprising given that the protocol is fully compatible with Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM), making it easy to migrate dApps.
To support Ethereum-Camp interoperability in a secure manner, Camp Network uses a decentralized verification network (DVN) powered by the native token CAMP for staking purposes within the CAMP Vault.


Additionally, each dApp runs its own SideCAMP to avoid traffic congestion. SideCAMP also supports a variety of runtime environments, allowing you to incorporate different ecosystems into your Camp ecosystem. The interoperability of this blockchain network is critical for Camp Network to gain traction and ensure traceable origins of content across the chain.
CAMP tokenomics
Having been launched relatively recently in late August 2025, there are 10 billion CAMP tokens available to secure and monetize the network, of which 2.1 billion are in circulation. Early backers hold the most tokens, at 29%.


For ecosystem and foundation, 3% of CAMP tokens will be unlocked at each Token Generation Event (TGE). Remaining tokens will vest monthly over 60 months to support airdrops, grants, staking rewards, and community participation.
