(Dubai, United Arab Emirates – December 1, 2025) The fifth edition of Cosmoverse, the flagship conference on Sovereign Cosmos blockchain ecosystem and interoperable finance, concluded last month in Split, Croatia. Held from October 30 to November 1, 2025, the event brought together builders, institutional leaders, regulators, investors, and developers from around the world, reflecting the growing convergence of sovereign blockchain systems with traditional finance.
This year’s edition marked a strategic turning point for Web3. Over three days, more than 60 sessions explored the technical, regulatory, and social evolution of Web3 across selected tracks including AI, Bitcoin, tokenization, policy, EVM, and stablecoins. The conference offered a comprehensive look at the decentralized future of finance and infrastructure, from Cosmos-native chains to multinational fintech platforms.
Headline sessions included “Digital Euro in the Era of On-Chain Finance” with representatives from the European Central Bank, Croatian National Bank, Cosmos Labs and Bloomberg Adria. This session was the first time multiple European central banks participated in a Web3 conference, engaging in an open dialogue about the future of the monetary system. Jürgen Schaaf (European Central Bank) and Rinaldo Martinečević (Croatian National Bank) provided key insights on the digital euro, covering its institutional design, strategic objectives and deployment roadmap, currently planned for implementation in 2029.
Followed by Revolut and fireside conversation. The AI Mobility panel featuring Bosch highlights the rise of autonomous systems and decentralized infrastructure. Throughout the program, sessions showcased how traditional enterprises and frontier technologies are converging through sovereign blockchain frameworks.
Global voices from Visa, Bybit, Electrocoin, InterCapital, Boston Consulting Group (BCG), Informal Systems, and Forbes Technology Council participated in on-stage sessions to explore how on-chain infrastructure can support public-private innovation. Visa’s Onur Ozdemir has revealed the piloting of stablecoin liquidity and funding models with banks around the world. Meanwhile, Cosmos Labs led four keynotes outlining Cosmos’ vision, Cosmos Stack, Cosmos EVM, and Cosmos Hub (ATOM), presenting a roadmap, and expanding its role in institutional finance.
In his opening keynote, Cosmos Labs Co-CEO Maghnus Mareneck announced a strategic push to expand adoption of the Cosmos Stack across governments and the international banking system. He confirmed that Cosmos Labs is actively developing two central bank digital currencies (CBDCs) in Latin America.
Additional initiatives include collaborations with Fortune 500 companies preparing to launch Cosmos-powered chains across areas such as banking, gaming with multibillion-dollar IP, government-grade CBDC, and wealth management, with details expected to be revealed starting in Q1 2026.
Cosmos Labs also confirmed that the Cosmos Hub (ATOM) will play a central role in this new vision, serving as the foundational infrastructure for new institutional and corporate deployments. The team outlined new services being considered for customers adopting Cosmos Stack, including asset issuance, RPC and infrastructure services, and neutral interoperability services, among others.
Cosmoverse 2025 also hosted the Hackmos x DoraHacks hackathon, featuring 100 emerging builders from Europe and beyond, and the CosmosVentures pitching competition, showcasing high-potential startups building within the ecosystem. VALT, founded by Zach Wickstrom, has been selected as the winner of the Cosmoverse 2025 Pitching Competition. VALT’s mission is to enable users to access, protect, and monetize their personal data.
Additionally, as part of a customized experience for decision makers, the Cosmoverse Executive Lounge hosted curated activations featuring industry leaders, enabling meaningful conversations and deal-making throughout the event.
At the closing ceremony, the Cosmoverse team officially announced their next destination. Cosmoverse 2026 will be held in Hong Kong, marking the conference’s expansion into Asia and reinforcing its role as the leading global platform for sovereign blockchain innovation and interoperable finance.
